Craig M. Chebuhar, M.D. has been providing orthopaedic care to patients in the Metro area since 1999. He sees patients in the Canton and Woodstock locations, and by special arrangement in the East Cobb office.  

Dr. Chebuhar is Board Certified by The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.S. with Honors in Exercise Physiology and received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency training through the University of South Carolina College of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. While in residency, Dr. Chebuhar completed a six month specialty rotation in Pediatric Orthopaedics and Spinal Deformities at the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children in Greenville, South Carolina. He also completed a Fellowship in Complex Spine Surgery through the Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Georgia. His specialties are surgical and non-surgical care of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine including minimally invasive spine surgery, limited incision cervical and lumbar spine fusion surgery, cervical disc arthroplasty (artificial cervical disc surgery), and dynamic stabilization of the lumbar spine.  

Dr. Chebuhar is actively engaged in orthopaedic research and education as well as spine implant design and holds several patents for spinal implant technology. He teaches and lectures both nationally and internationally about lumbar and cervical spine fusion surgery as well as cervical disc arthroplasty. He has served on the design team for a number of spine implants and instrumentation and has a number of publications with a special focus on the spine and pelvis.

He is very active in the community and has served as team physician to many high school and college sports programs. He has also served as the spine consultant for the PGA Tour.  

Dr. Chebuhar lives in the Marietta area with his wife, son and four dogs. In his free time he enjoys cooking, antiquing, fly fishing, shooting and spending time on his farm.
